Personal Progress Mutual Night

Back in June I was in charge of a mutual night for the young women for personal progress. We had stations set up where the girls learned basic automotive skills and also how to set up a tent (in preparation for their campout the next weekend).

We divided the girls into groups and had them go to different stations learning the basics for automotive. For example: how to check tire pressure, how to check oil level, how to jump start a car, etc. I had some fabulous helpers that night and am so grateful for them and all they did! :)

The girls learned a lot that night and we all had a great time!

It was my last mutual night before we moved out of the ward.. so the young women and YW leaders surprised me with letters and brownies and ice cream for refreshments!! I loved being able to work with those girls and had so much fun getting to know all of them!! I will miss truly miss them!

Young Women in Excellence

A couple days after the big wedding and baptisms, I put on Young Women in Excellence (YWIE) for the young women in our ward. YWIE is a night dedicated to showcase each of the young women and what they have accomplished in Personal Progress in the last year.
Our theme was "The Highest Place of Honor" Red Carpet Event and Award Show.

When a Young Woman completes her personal progress they receive their YW recognition award and medallion. So I wanted a big medallion for our backdrop, and of course, my wonderful and talented hubby was able to whip something up! He did such an amazing job!!

This is what the medallion looks like... I think my hubby did a pretty dang good job and replicating it!

The awards we gave each girl that night!

We set up a table for each Personal Progress value and had all the girls bring projects that they had worked on and/or completed in the last year with personal progress and put them on the coordinating tables!

The night went so well! We all had such a great time! :)
